Little Heroes Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We work to improve the lives of disadvantaged children in Moscow, Russia. We want them to become healthy and productive citizens. We welcome you to our site and hope we can educate you on the rising concerns for Russian orphans and how we can help them. Why Russian orphans need help: It's estimated that 90% of Russian orphans actually have living parents. The majority of these parents, however, have been deemed unfit to raise their children. The desperate condition of Russia's economy and the scourge of alcoholism has created generations of these orphans with parents. Moreover, the Russian government provides only the barest of funding for these children. Despite the best efforts of dedicated and loving staff, the means simply don't exist to do anything more than meet the orphans' basic needs. As a result, orphans have few chances to prepare for their adult lives when they are required to leave the orphanage at age 18. It is our goal to help these children have happy and productive lives!

I am Travis Hansen, President and Co-founder of Little Heroes Foundation.  My wife LaRee started our foundation almost 2 years ago with the hope to help children all around the world have the opportunity to have happy and productive lives.  Our hope is that we can raise enough money for Little Heroes to be able accomplish our goals.  Thank you for your generosity in donating to Little Heroes!  Everyone that signs up at uplej.com can choose the charity of their choice! Each person that signs up and chooses Little Heroes gives the Little Heroes Foundation 2 dollars per month.  This enables us to do so much more good in this world!

OUR GOALS:

The goal of the Little Heroes Foundation are to help children around the world. The Foundation wants to collaborate with other well established foundations to maximize efforts- creating a greater impact. Currently, Little Heroes is renovating a baby hospital and orphanage in Lyubertsy, Russia. Projects under way include: partnering up with Nature's Sunshine to help children with malaria in Ghana, assisting in the Children with Cancer Christmas Foundation which helps bring cheer and lift the burdens of children with cancer as well as their families, and bringing aid to the multiplying refugee camps in Russia. Our annual Travis Hansen Charity Basketball Camp will be followed by a charity golf tournament in 2009.

 We are currently creating a DVD of our projects in Russia and it will be done and posted on our website by September 2008.  We also have a great partnership with Natures Sunshine.
