I have been very disturbed about news reports lately concerning shortages of basic food throughout the world and of all the hungry people who don't have food to eat. There is a story about Haitians eating mud-cakes because they have nothing else.

I have a very bad habit of buying Diet Cokes and french fries. I think that it would be better for me to use some of that money to donate to a charity that helps to feed hungry children throughout the world. I know it's not a huge amount of money, but if everyone gave a little bit a month to those in need, then it really would make a difference.

The power of one merged into the power of many, that is what makes things happen.
